St Mawes Day 2018

Friday November 16th is St Mawes Day

St Just and St Mawes Heritage Group will again be holding a special event to mark this occasion. It will be held in The Millennium Rooms St. Mawes beginning with refreshments from 7.30 pm. Entertainment will be provided by Rhos Keur singing some Cornish songs. Jenny Johnson will give a talk accompanied by photographs of some of the people who have influenced the development of St Mawes over the years.

You are all invited to come along and bring with you any old photos of St Mawes or St Just. Please make sure your name is on the back of your photographs. We are particularly interested in old pictures of the buildings surrounding the Square in St Just and the buildings in St Mawes between The Watch House and The Ship and Castle Hotel. We are applying to the Heritage Lottery Fund for a grant to carry out a project, recording and filming peoples’ memories of these buildings. Free entry. All welcome.
